Mission Statement:
We at CIF believe in the power of the arts to invigorate communities. We aim to increase involvement through entertainment events while connecting individuals with the services they need. Wilkesboro is a beautiful place that we want to support and showcase. We are proud to present "Walking Wilkes": a local podcast that highlights the community's rich history, explores local stories, and promotes this perfect mountain town. There will be events, both planned and spontaneous. Check our website for events or any of the many Wilkes County groups on Facebook. If you see us out recording, please say hi and bring us your stories. We offer raffles and prizes. We love Wilkes County and want to hear from you! We are only as effective as you help us be. There are also many volunteer opportunities. Help us become the new cultural hub of North Carolina!
Upcoming Events:
We are hosting the first ever Sober Walk this Saturday, March 28th. We will be starting at 4pm at the Smoot Park entrance to the Greenway. We will walk all the way to West Park in an effort to support and promote those building better lives. It will be chilly, but perfect weather for walking. If you or someone you know has a drug or alcohol problem, please reach out. We will connect you to the help you need. Come on down for an inspirational March in support of sobriety! This event will be the first of many in our attempts to create a thriving, connected, supported, and inspired community.
